FMTC M&A Safety’s Aerial Lift Operator Safety course is designed to equip delegates with the essential skills needed to work safely on or around aerial lifts. Our comprehensive training provides delegates with recommended practices and guidelines to ensure safe operations while working with aerial lifts. Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to demonstrate their skills during practical examinations and exhibit their knowledge in written assessments.

Course Outline:
About Aerial Lifts:
- Overview of general uses and training requirements.
- Introduction to general safety guidelines for safe operations.
Safe Operations:
- Pre-operational and daily inspection criteria.
- Proper use of operator controls and ground controls.
- Safe work practices, including elevating a platform and using leveling jacks.
Hazards and Prevention:
- Identification and prevention of various hazards, including electrical hazards, fall hazards, and tip-over hazards.
- Understanding causes of death from aerial lifts and statistical analysis.
Fall Protection:
- Requirements and components of a personal fall arrest system.
- Practical sessions to demonstrate proper fall protection techniques.
Practical Session:
- Hands-on training using equipment similar to what delegates will operate.
- Verification of proper PPE selection, equipment inspection, and hazard identification.
- Practice in reacting to unusual or emergency situations and safe access/egress from aerial lifts.
Training Center Provided Material:
- Course materials, PPE, and reference documents in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Successful Course Completion:
- Delegates must achieve a minimum score of 75% in written assessments.
- Practical sessions are mandatory for successful completion.
