This Hydrogen Sulfide with Respiratory Protection course is for any employee who conducts work in locations where the hazard of a Hydrogen Sulfide release exists. In this online course, learners will gain an understanding of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas and how Respiratory Protection can keep them from harm.

This E-Learning Hydrogen Sulfide with Respiratory Protection course provides an overview of H2S gas, explaining key terms associated with chemical properties in general, as well as the characteristics specific to H2S, such as its exposure limits (according to OSHA and NIOSH) and effects on the body. This online H2S course will also inform the learner about ways to protect themselves, including a summary of the various methods of detection, use of ventilation, importance of wind direction, and inspection, maintenance and use of respiratory protection equipment. Finally, participants in this course will receive guidance on working at an H2S location, including information on site orientation, the way to recognize the presence of hydrogen sulfide and how to respond in the event of a release. Upon completion of the training modules, learners will complete a knowledge assessment. Those who complete this training may also be required to be evaluated by their employer to ensure understanding of the information provided.
