Aerial lifts, including scissor lifts and boom lifts (cherry pickers), are frequently used in general industry, at construction sites, and all throughout oil and gas operations. Since aerial lifts have replaced ladders and scaffolds on many jobs, proper training is now more important than ever to ensure operator safety and to prevent all workers from being injured.

The Aerial Lift Operator Safety course is for anyone assigned to work on or around aerial lifts including construction workers, warehouse workers, or anyone working at heights, such as painters, installers, mechanics, and tree trimmers. An online Aerial Lift Operator Safety course can also benefit site supervisors, safety trainers, inspectors, and EHS consultants. This Aerial Lift Operator Safety E-Learning course provides the necessary basic information to maximize worksite safety including general information about aerial lifts, their uses, and general safety and training guidelines.
In this online course, the learner will be introduced to topics about the safe operation of aerial lifts, such as pre-operational equipment and worksite inspection, operator controls and safe work practices, battery safety and personal protection equipment. The course offers explanations of hazards such as electrical hazards, tip-over hazards, and fall hazards, as well as the procedures for dealing with those hazards. Learners will also be provided with a general overview of fall protection methods, including the use of a personal fall arrest system (PFAS).
