FMTC Preparation course for CRO-ER

The CRO-ER Preparation course is to prepare the candidate/personnel who have been deemed ready by their employer to be formally assessed in the role of an OIM, Deputy for OIM, or Emergency Deputy for OIM, during an emergency situation.

What does the Preparation course entail?

In this course the participant may familiarise themselves with the type of scenarios, simulator model to be used and the layout and facilities of the Emergency Control Centre, in order that the Assessment process for the CRO-ER course runs smoothly.

What could this Course lead to?

This course is directly in support of the OPITO CRO-ER Product (7025).

What are the entry requirements?

There is no direct criteria for this preparation course for CRO-ER. However, in order to qualify for the CRO-ER course itself, it must be noted that a formal declaration and supporting evidence from the candidate’s employer will be required confirming that the Candidate has achieved the performance criteria in Outcome 1 Maintain a state of readiness in the workplace. Medical entry requirements

There is no official medical entry requirement for the preparation course itself.

However, the Assessment activities contained within the OPITO CRO-ER course may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements so it must be noted that all personnel who participate in such activities must be capable of participating fully and must sign a Medical Declaration form to acknowledge this.
