After these 4 years the certificate validity can be extended with an OPITO FOET course.

What is OPITO?

OPITO is the abbreviation for Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation. Their goal is to have globally recognised guidelines for the oil and gas industry. It is the counterpart of NOGEPA.

In 1977 OPITO was established to ensure safety in the oil and gas industry. Besides, OPITO wants to help with innovations and identifies the needs and requirements for training for both offshore and onshore. This way, everyone working in the industry needs to apply the same safety standards.

The right medical and safety training is very important for the oil and gas industry. The job comes with many risks and emergency services can have difficulty reaching the area of the incident.

OPITO Basic Courses at FMTC Safety

FMTC Safety is certified by OPITO to offer their safety and medical courses. These courses make sure employees working at an oil and gas installation understand how to respond to emergencies and how to apply their safety and medical training in real life.

FMTC Safety offers a wide range of OPITO Basic Courses. Almost all basic courses are also available as e-learning course. In an e-learning course, the delegates learns all the theory at home and only needs to show up at our training location for the practical part. Besides these courses, we also offer OPITO Specialist Courses and OPITO Tropical Courses. Almost all courses are available as a basic course and a refresher course. With the refresher course the validity of a certificate can be extended. Furthermore, it is possible to combine certain courses.

FMTC Safety

The FMTC Safety instructors are certified and have experience in the oil and gas industry. In their courses they transfer their knowledge to the participants. You can train whenever it suits you best and our trainings always continue.
