Working offshore involves many risks and being in possession of an offshore medical certificate is compulsory. In order to access an offshore platform and/or follow a NOGEPA offshore training course, you will need a medical certificate.
Offshore medical examination
During the offshore medical examination, physical and mental health risks are assessed. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire and undergo a physical health check, the results will be given at the end of the check. Validity of the medical certificate is two years.
The offshore medical examination contains the following:
• Questionnaire
• Biometric test
• Hearing test
• Eye test
• Physical examination
• Lung test
• Urine sample test
• Possible blood test
Required documents
For the offshore medical examination, please bring the following documents:
• Personal Safety logbook (this can be purchased during the check)
• A valid passport
• Medication if you are taking any
• Glasses or contact lenses if worn
Enrolment
In case you have already signed up for a course or do not require one, you can book the offshore medical examination now or you can book during one of your training courses. For any further information, please contact us or call us on 020-811 43 32.
If you wish to complete a medical examination, you can book this when filling out the booking form. It is not possible to book a separate medical examination.
