Global Wind Organisation (GWO)
Global Wind Organization courses (GWO) is the standard for the people working in the wind industry, both onshore and offshore. Several major players in the wind industry started working together, leading to the existence of GWO. The purpose of GWO is to create a safe working environment for the staff in the wind industry. This is why in 2012 the GWO Basic Safety Course was introduced. This course allows the delegate to get to know the risks and dangers when working in the wind industry. During this course, the delegate will learn how to act in risky situations.
GWO has developed a basic course for anyone working in the wind industry. This GWO Basic Safety Course consists of five different modules, GWO First Aid, GWO Working at Heights, GWO Sea Survival, GWO Fire Awareness and GWO Manual Handling. These modules can be obtained during both the GWO Basic Safety Course and also as separate modules. During this course, the theoretical range of the relevant subject will be discussed and later this theory will be applied during the practical exercises. After successfully completing the GWO course, the delegate receives a GWO certificate. The certificate is valid for two years and must be repeated every two years. This way, the delegate will be up to date and will remain informed regarding the latest developments.
FMTC and GWO courses
The FMTC instructors are certified people from the business. They know what they’re talking about and can explain procedures and techniques in an interesting way. This makes it easier for the things that you learn to actually stick with you. And because we know how important proper planning is, you can train with us 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
