Online database for NOGEPA certificates

15 July 2020

The new NOGEPA handbook came into effect on 1 July 2020. We previously wrote about the change regarding the NOGEPA 0.5C CA-EBS module. In addition to this operational change, various administrative changes also took effect from the 1st of July.

Central Diploma Register

All completed NOGEPA certificates need to be registered in the Central Diploma Register (CDR) from 1 July. The CDR is the online database for certificates from SSVV, which NOGEPA is part of. In addition to NOGEPA certificates, VCA diplomas and certificates for training from the SSVV Training Guide (SOG) in the field of petrochemistry and scaffolding can also be found here.

How does the CDR work?

Training providers register the obtained NOGEPA certificates on the basis of a VCA (e) number. This number contains personal data such as name, date of birth and other certificate history.

The public CDR portal allows you to search by name and date of birth where you will find all obtained SSVV, VCA and NOGEPA certificates of the person you are looking up. You can also easily find your expiry dates here. This way you know exactly when you should follow your refresher training.

How does your NOGEPA certificate get into the CDR?

If you have a valid VCA diploma, you are already registered in the CDR. The certificate number of your VCA diploma is therefore the number that you can pass on to training providers.
If you train with us it is not necessary to provide your VCA number. We ensure that your NOGEPA certificate that you obtained with us after 1 July 2020 is linked to your existing CDR registration.

Do you not yet have a VCA diploma? No problem. When you complete your training with us, we will register you on the basis of your obtained NOGEPA certificate. We do the full registration for you. So you will not notice anything from this registration.

Whatever your situation is, we’ll make it as easy as possible for you.

NOGEPA certificates dispensation

In addition to the introduction of the CDR, there are other important administrative changes. This relates to a request for dispensation. Dispensation means that due to unforeseen circumstances it was not possible to do your refresher course on time. A successful dispensation grants up to an extra 3 months after the expiry date of your current certificate to follow the refresher training.

From July 1, 2020, the responsibility for issuing dispensation rests with the training providers. This means that you may email your dispensation request to us at info@fmtcsafety.com. We will review your application as soon as possible.

Did you know that because of the Corona Virus the dispensation rules are currently different? Read more about the current dispensation schemes here.
