Who are we?

FMTC Safety is THE safety training center specializing in providing a large variety of different courses for employees working in the Oil and Gas industry (OPITO & NOGEPA), Wind Energy exploitation (GWO), Maritime (STCW) and industrial sector.

Everyday we provide training to prepare people to work safely in some of the most remote and for many, unimaginable places on earth. From drilling platforms in the harsh North Sea, to the worlds largest offshore wind turbines in Asia, to large vessels that sail the oceans and seas all around the world.

In the Netherlands alone we have 5 training centers where our experienced and passionate instructors try to instill in our delegates from all over the world, a sense of safety so as to better prepare them for their jobs.

Next to the centers in the Netherlands, we also operate in the United States, Belgium, France and the Middle East. We are always looking to grow and are therefore we expanding our operations continuously. Safety is our first priority, our second being flexibility. We strive to ensure all our customers are served to the utmost of our ability.

What do we expect from you?

You will decide what our training staff really need to provide all the different courses. Aside from finding out the basics of what is needed, you will at the same time be searching for the most effective, efficient and most responsible choices of equipment.

You will be stationed at our HQ in Amsterdam, where your day by day operations will require you to busy yourself with purchasing and providing equipment and tools for all our domestic and abroad training locations. This is not the only place you will be working, as on site visits are necessary from time to time.

As an excellent negotiator, you will make and manage commercial contracts/purchase terms with suppliers and carefully evaluate costs, sustainability and profitability. Part of your job is to analyze spending and issue purchasing prices. Based on the information gathered you will decide the best steps for strategic sourcing, cost saving initiatives and the procurement process.

Another part is to maintain quality and efficiency of equipment and tools in use. An element is the desire to constantly find the ideal way to improve by evaluating previous actions. We want you to help us advance on a financial level while maintaining the highest possible standards of quality.

Another crucial element is your close collaboration and working together with instructors, maintenance staff, location managers and others within the company. As they are the once that work with the materials, they will be able to provide you feedback on the choices made.

Next to purchasing new equipment, a lot of the materials used for training require periodic inspections and certification. This will also be one of your responsibilities. If there’s a questions regarding maintenance, repair and replacement, you are the go to person.
