The GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) is a new addition to the basic courses of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is especially developed for people working in the wind industry that do not have any advanced rescue (training) experience or are not in possession of a valid certificate included modules. Participants need to have a valid GWO Working at Height, GWO Manual Handling, and GWO First Aid certificate. From now on FMTC Safety Schiphol Amsterdam is accredited to offer this training. Later, a refresher course will be added and the course will be available at our locations in Dordrecht, Dunkirk and Houma.

Content of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)

During the 3-day GWO ART course delegates learn how to safely rescue people at height and in depth, such as from the nacelle, wing, basement, hub, or confined spaces. The course consists of theoretical and practical sessions divided into the following modules:

  • GWO Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue module
  • GWO Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue module
  • GWO Single Rescuer module: Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue
  • GWO Single Rescuer module: Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue

For each module the delegate receives a separate certificate. The certificate of the first two modules is valid for 2 years. For the other two modules no refreshment is necessary, as this certificate has no validity date. Please contact us if you want to attend a specific module.
