NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting from now on at FMTC

29 August 2016

From now on FMTC is certified for the NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting. The NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting is offered monthly.

NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting

The NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting training is for personnel designated to act as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) or Helicopter Deck Assistant (HDA) on an offshore installation, who, however, do not possess a valid NOGEPA 2.6 Member Fire-Fighting and Rescue Team certificate or NOGEPA 2.8 Leader Fire-Fighting and Rescue Team certificate.

The NOGEPA 2.9 Helicopter Fire-Fighting is intended for offshore personnel on a small platform where fuel loading for helicopters is not possible and where there is insufficient personnel to form a Fire-Fighting Team. Here the HLO or HDA has the responsibility in case of calamities.

The NOGEPA 2.9A Helicopter Fire-Fighting is valid for 2 years. After that, the course must be refreshed every 2 years with the NOGEPA 2.9B Helicopter Fire-Fighting.

If you work in the offshore industry or an industry related to it, you are probably familiar with the NOGEPA organization. NOGEPA stands for Dutch Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association. The aim of NOGEPA is efficient, safe and environmentally conscious extraction of oil and gas from the Dutch seabed and an optimal relationship between the sector and society.

The courses and training courses related to safety and firefighting are thoroughly inspected by NOGEPA. Only when the training meets the strict NOGEPA requirements, is the training certified by NOGEPA.

Every month you will find the NOGEPA 2.9A Helicopter Fire-Fighting and NOGEPA 2.9B Helicopter Fire-Fighting in our course offering. If you want to participate in this training, you can register via the website. You must have a valid offshore medical certificate.
