FMTC / M&A Safety Sets Sights on Houston, TX
16 August 2024In just under a year since FMTC Safety acquired M&A Safety Services, the company is already making bold moves, setting its sights on Houston, TX, for its next state-of-the-art safety training center. The acquisition of M&A Safety Services by FMTC Safety in October 2023 marked a strategic push to expand its footprint in the United States, and the Houston expansion is a thrilling testament to that mission.
“This expansion into Houston is a great opportunity for us to deliver on one of the key reasons we partnered with FMTC – to grow and provide our valued clients with another top-tier option for training their team members,” said Bryan Aucoin, CEO of FMTC USA and former co-owner of M&A Safety. The Houston location is set to bring approximately twenty new team members on board, boosting the company’s U.S. staff to around 120 across four locations. “I am proud to see this new expansion following up the acquisition. It shows our commitment to the US market and will make it even easier for customers to book their training at FMTC M&A close to them.” said Michel Hogervorst
Located on the north side of Houston, near the intersection of Hardy Toll Rd and FM 1960 E, the new facility will span 15,000 square feet and offer a comprehensive range of training simulations. From sea survival swimming pools to the HUET (Helicopter Underwater Egress Training) simulator, as well as hydraulic crane/rigging, firefighting, confined space, and working at heights training – the Houston center is designed to be a one-stop shop for critical safety training. FMTC plans to offer accredited courses from leading bodies such as OPITO, GWO, API, and the Coast Guard, ensuring that trainees receive top-notch, industry-recognized certifications.
As FMTC Safety celebrates a decade of dedicated service to the energy sector, including both Oil & Gas and renewables, the opening of the Houston location will mark its 14th training center worldwide. With existing locations in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia, FMTC’s global reach continues to grow, reflecting the company’s unwavering commitment to providing accessible and comprehensive safety training across the globe.
