FMTC Houma OPITO accredited

We have already announced that we have opened our first training location in the USA in Houma, Louisiana. This location, in the middle of the region known for its oil and gas production, obviously had to meet all the criteria to offer OPITO safety training courses.

Audit OPITO

Certified OPITO offshore training courses focus on increasing the safety for employees at an offshore installation. Working in the offshore industry entails a certain risk. It is therefore very important that employees attend the correct medical and safety training courses. This way they know how to act in the event of an accident. In order to offer certified OPITO training courses in Houma, FMTC first had to pass an OPITO audit.

Approval outright

This audit was completed with an ‘Approval outright’, something that rarely happens. In general, open items are reported during an OPITO audit that require improvement.  However, FMTC Houma immediately received a complete approval, without any outstanding points. This means that we can immediately offer the certified OPITO training offer in Houma-VS.

OPITO accreditations

OPITO consists of several training courses and modules. The basis is formed by BOSIET; Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training. The BOSIET certificate (valid for 4 years) is compulsory for offshore employees in the oil and gas industry. FMTC Houma is accredited for the following courses:
