The aim of the Advanced Offshore Water Survival and HUET training course is to prepare delegates that intend to travel to and from offshore oil and gas installations or vessels by helicopter in the US by providing specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements and to equip delegates with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency – with a specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching and sea survival techniques.

A six to eight-hour training course to prepare delegates to avoid in-the-water incidents while educating them to minimize injuries and help survive in a water evacuation event. Our competent instructors provide lectures and actual practical water training exercises.

HUET Training

During the theory section of the Advanced Offshore Water Survival and HUET w/ Triton Simulator, the delegate is informed about the security aspects on board of a helicopter, as well as the potential hazards and emergencies that can occur during transport by helicopter. HUET stands for Helicopter Under Water Escape Training. Subsequently, various emergency situations will be rehearsed in the training pool of FMTC – by means of the training helicopter.

With regard to the CA-EBS standard coming to the US Gulf of Mexico (effective 1 June 2019), you can book this Advanced Offshore Water Survival and HUET course combined with the OPITO CA-EBS in just one-day! The CA-EBS is the kind of lifejackets which will be used in the helicopter. During this course, you will learn how to use this lifejacket and the risk of wrong use.
