VACANCY: GWO INSTRUCTOR (BELGIUM)

Escaping from a helicopter, surviving at sea or fighting a blazing fire. Who are we?
FMTC Safety is the safety training centre for Offshore training (OPITO & NOGEPA), Wind training (GWO), Maritime training (STCW) and Industry training. Every day, we prepare people to work and live safely on a drilling rig or ship.

Besides safety, we put flexibility first and are there for our client. We unburden the customer completely when it comes to training. We do this through our customer-oriented services; flexibility, knowledge and extra services alongside our training courses.

We have various locations worldwide: Amsterdam Schiphol, Dordrecht, Lage Zwaluwe, IJmuiden, Houma (USA), Dunkirk and Marseille (FR) and Ras Tanura (KSA). And very soon also a location specialised on the wind industry in Belgium!

What does your day look like as a Wind Industry Instructor at FMTC Safety?
Every day is a new challenge. You arrive at our unique training location in Dordrecht on the Kil River, equipped with various training objects. With a cheerful feeling you already start your day. So what course is on the agenda? A Sea Survival? Or a working at height training course? Either way, you convey all the courses with a good mood and in a creative manner.

After teaching the theory lesson, you will support the trainees in putting this theory into practice. At FMTC Safety, all training courses are simulated in a realistic setting. As we work in an international sector, all our training sessions are conducted in English. Sometimes there may also be the possibility of French-speaking participants in class, so speaking French is a plus.

Who are we looking for?

• You have at least a completed HBO education
• You are available full-time per week
• If you have offshore and/or nautical experience, this is a plus and if you have already given GWO training courses, this is a strong advantage
• You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English. French is an advantage.
• You are creative, stress-resistant and bring a good mood to work
• You are customer-oriented; you are energised when course participants love your training course
• You are a doer and a go-getter
