Will you be our new HR Manager?

As HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR policies that support our business objectives and enable our employees to reach their full potential. This is a new role for the organisation where HR policies and processes are in their infancy.

FMTC Safety is a leading safety training centre for various sectors including Offshore, Wind and Maritime Industry with locations in the Netherlands, France, the US, Saudi Arabia and Belgium. FMTC is on an exciting growth path, with the people goal to grow from 150 to 400 employees in the next five years. Of course, this also presents unique hr challenges. That is why they are looking for a dynamic and experienced hr manager. This role is crucial for FMTC’s mission to expand globally, but also the current phase of the company already requires a pragmatic, creative and solution-oriented professional who dares to launch initiatives.

The position:

As HR manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and processes that are in line with FMTC Safety’s business objectives and growth ambitions. As there is currently no permanent HR department, there is a unique opportunity to build HR processes and policies from scratch. A key aspect of this role in this regard is the ability to proactively respond to the rapidly changing needs of a growing international company.

You will have to initiate and lead HR initiatives focused on both the short-term and long-term needs of the organisation. This includes identifying critical HR areas that require improvement, designing solutions and implementing policies that strengthen company culture and increase employee satisfaction.

But in this role, you are not just a strategist/tactician, but also a hands-on implementer willing to take on operational tasks. This requires a flexible attitude and the ability to quickly switch between different projects and priorities.

In summary your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic HR policies in line with FMTC’s growth plans.
  • Setting up HR procedures and policies, including HR processes such as onboarding, remuneration policy and performance management.
  • Advise and support managers and employees in HR-related matters.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and selection process.
  • Contribute to the development of the FMTC Safety Academy.
  • Identify HR challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.

As an HR manager at FMTC Safety, you will have the freedom to introduce innovative hr solutions and make a direct impact on the company’s success. You will play a key role in shaping the future and contribute to a working environment where every employee feels valued and can get the best out of themselves.

Your profile:

  • Around 5 years’ experience in a similar role such as senior HR consultant, HR business partner or HR manager. HR consulting experience is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of HR processes, policies and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills
  • Adaptability and comfort with changing circumstances
  • Problem-solving ability and creativity in HR issues
