NEW: NOGEPA 2.14 & 2.15 Management of Major Emergencies (MoME)

We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the audit for the courses NOGEPA 2.14A Management of Major Emergencies (MoME), NOGEPA 2.14B Management of Major Emergencies (MoME) Refresher and NOGEPA 2.15 Management of Major Emergencies (Formal Assessment).

NOGEPA MoME Audit

All NOGEPA major emergency response training can now be performed in a fully operational control room with an adjacent assessor room, role-player room, and debrief room. During an intense five-day audit, FMTC Safety managed to complete the NOGEPA audit successfully. Several delegates have successfully played their role in the control room as an OIM.

NOGEPA 2.14 Management of Major Emergencies (MoME) courses

The NOGEPA 2.14A Management of Major Emergencies (MoME) is designed for Offshore Installation Managers (OIM) and Key persons being part of an Emergency Management Team. During this course, the delegates learn how to show effective leadership during a Major Emergency on an offshore mining installation. This course needs to be refreshed every 4 years with the NOGEPA 2.14B Management of Major Emergencies Refresher.

NOGEPA 2.15 Management of Major Emergencies (Formal Assessment)

The NOGEPA 2.15 Management of Major Emergencies (Formal Assessment) formally assesses a delegate’s ability to show effective leadership during Major Emergencies on an offshore mining installation. This assessment is for OIM’s or Key persons being part of an Emergency Management Team.

Management of Major Emergencies

Working in the offshore industry entails a risk. We train our delegates every day to work and life saves on an offshore platform and train our delegates to handle correctly in emergencies. We will train not only the Emergency Response Teams, but with these new NOGEPA MoME courses, we also train the Offshore Installation Managers (OIM).

During a major emergency, nothing is that important as good communication. That is why they learn to communicate effectively, both internally and externally. That is only possible if he knows how to deal with stress in himself and others.
