The OPITO T-FOET with CA-EBS (5929) is refresher training for personnel who have previously completed applicable BOSIET or FOET training and need to maintain their offshore emergency response competence for work in tropical environments.
The course refreshes practical and theoretical knowledge relating to offshore safety, helicopter emergencies, HUET, the use of the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS), sea survival, first aid, firefighting and self-rescue.
The OPITO Travel Safely by Boat Initial Training (5605) provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to travel and transfer safely by boat to and from offshore installations. It covers normal boat travel as well as actions to take during boat emergencies, abandonment and survival situations.
Participants who already hold applicable offshore survival certification, including Tropical FOET, are not required to repeat the practical life raft and in-water sea survival exercises that form part of the full Travel Safely by Boat programme.
Participants should bring a valid government-issued photographic identification and any additional PPE or documentation specified in their booking confirmation.
