The Manual Handling Awareness e-learning course provides theoretical training on safe lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling techniques to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. This online course focuses on ergonomic principles, risk assessment, and practical methods to support safer manual handling activities.

This course introduces the principles of safe manual handling and the importance of reducing risks associated with lifting and moving loads. Participants will learn about common musculoskeletal injuries, basic spine anatomy, and the factors that contribute to manual handling incidents. The training also covers TILE risk assessment principles, safe lifting techniques, use of mechanical aids, and workplace best practices. The course is suitable for personnel involved in physical work activities where manual handling tasks form part of normal operations.

There are no formal prerequisites. The course is designed for all employees. Basic computer skills and access to a device with an internet connection are required.
