FMTC opens new location at TOTAL’s Training Center in France

FMTC will open a new training location in October in Dunkirk, France. Thanks to this partnership between FMTC and TOTAL, customers of FMTC will soon be able to attend safety courses at TOTAL in Dunkirk. This new international location will allow FMTC to improve the accessibility for their delegates worldwide.

FMTC & TOTAL

FMTC offers certified safety courses for the Offshore, Wind, Maritime and Industry sectors. The main purpose of these courses is to increase safety at work. With help from dedicated and professional instructors, delegates learn about safety at work while they live a unique experience. The courses will soon be offered at TOTAL’s training center in Dunkirk, France.

TOTAL is a major energy player that produces and markets fuels, natural gas and low-carbon electricity. Its 100,000 employees in more than 130 countries are committed to better energy that is safer, more affordable, cleaner and accessible to as many people as possible.

This is a remarkable partnership, as FMTC will be the first partner to offer such a large scope of on-site courses at TOTAL Dunkirk. FMTC will propose OPITO-, GWO-, STCW and Industry courses. Industry courses will include fire training. These courses will allow delegates to provide specialized help by means of realistic incident situations.

Unique location

The TOTAL training center holds the name OLEUM since 2011 and is the first European training center offering custom-made courses in a processing plant on industrial scale. Thus, the delegates will be able to train in a way that is as life-like as possible. Furthermore, this location will put several facilities at FMTC’s disposal. There will be a specific site for firefighting exercises. There will also be a wind turbine that will be used for FMTC’s GWO courses.

FMTC Dunkirk

Delegates will soon be able to go to FMTC Dunkirk for OPITO, GWO and Industry courses. The activity will start-up with the following courses:

• OPITO BOSIET Digital Delivery
• OPITO T-BOSIET
• OPITO FOET with EBS
• OPITO FOET with CA-EBS
• OPITO T-FOET
• OPITO HUET with EBS
• OPITO HUET with CA-EBS
• OPITO T-HUET
• OPITO CA-EBS Initial Deployment

Besides OPITO courses, the GWO Basic Safety Training will be also be offered. This course consists of 5 separate modules:

• GWO First Aid
• GWO Working at Height
• GWO Sea Survival
• GWO Fire Awareness
• GWO Manual Handling

The training offer will be expanded at a later stage with STCW courses and a wide range of industry courses and fire courses.
