Helicopter Refuelling Course

This training is for personnel who are involved in helicopter refuelling activities offshore and is designed to equip the learner with the initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to operate and maintain helicopter fuelling systems safely and effectively. Delegates will be trained in the correct methods of storing, testing, and dispensing turbine helicopter fuel on an offshore helideck.

To participate in this course delegates are required to have a valid Offshore Medical certificate and a valid NOGEPA 1.1A or 1.1B, OPITO HOIT, OPITO HERTM, OPITO HERTM-F, OPITO HERTL, or a OPITO HERTL-F certificate.

• Helicopter refuelling legislation, guidelines, and standards
• Roles & Responsibilities during helicopter refuelling
• Accurate completion of relevant documentation
• Aviation turbine fuel and fuel systems
• Aviation fuel sampling and maintenance
• Helicopter fuelling system setup
• Pre and post helicopter refuelling operations
• Performing helicopter refuelling operations (gravity method)
