More information about OPITO HOIT (7040)

Our OPITO HOIT (7040) course is designed for offshore personnel who are preparing to take on the roles of Offshore Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Offshore Helideck Assistant (HDA). The training provides participants with the essential knowledge, understanding, and practical skills necessary to perform these critical positions safely and effectively in offshore environments. The course is structured to meet the initial training requirements for those who will be responsible for helideck operations, ensuring that all delegates are well-prepared for the challenges of helicopter landing and departure management.

It is important for Duty Holders to verify the statutory, regulatory, and company-specific training requirements for HLO and HDA positions in their region of operation. This ensures that each candidate receives all necessary instruction to comply with local and international standards. After completing the OPITO HOIT (7040), most candidates will progress to the OPITO Helicopter Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) course, which is a common requirement for both HLO and HDA roles. For those aiming to become HLOs, the final step is the OPITO Helicopter Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL) course. We offer the option to book these courses as a combination for streamlined training and certification.

Our training emphasizes practical skills and regulatory knowledge, preparing delegates for real-world scenarios on offshore installations. Please contact our customer support for more information about combination bookings or to discuss specific training pathways for your operational needs.
