More information about GWO Wind Limited Access Onshore & Offshore

Our GWO Wind Limited Access Onshore & Offshore course is designed for individuals who need to infrequently visit and observe both onshore and offshore Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) environments. This training is ideal for those who will enter these environments no more than six times per year and always under supervision by at least two experienced GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) trained personnel. The course covers the essential knowledge required to ensure safe conduct during supervised visits, including the procedures for safe (boat) transfer to offshore WTGs. It is important to note that this training does not qualify participants to work independently in WTG environments or to participate in visits where there are increased safety risks, such as faulty or under-construction assets.

Upon successful completion of both the GWO Onshore Limited Access and GWO Offshore Limited Access modules, participants will be able to behave safely and responsibly during supervised visits, minimizing risks to themselves and others. For those who anticipate visiting WTG environments more than six times per year, it is recommended to complete the full GWO Basic Safety Training (Onshore) course. The modules included in this training are not equivalent to the GWO Basic Safety Training modules but provide the minimum knowledge required for limited access.

For participants who only require access to onshore wind farms, please refer to the GWO Wind Limited Access Onshore.
