More information about GWO Basic Safety Training (onshore)

The GWO Basic Safety Training (onshore) is designed specifically for professionals working in the onshore wind industry. This comprehensive training prepares delegates to recognize and respond to the unique risks and hazards encountered in onshore wind environments, such as wind turbines. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on exercises, participants develop essential safety skills, including how to act effectively in emergency situations. The course emphasizes practical experience, allowing delegates to practice real-life emergency scenarios, such as working at height on a 16-meter platform, to ensure realistic preparation for their daily work.

Our GWO Basic Safety Training (onshore) covers four core modules: Working at Height, First Aid, Manual Handling, and Fire Awareness. Each module includes both classroom instruction and practical exercises, ensuring that participants can immediately apply what they learn. The modules can also be taken individually, including GWO Working at Height, GWO First Aid, GWO Fire Awareness, and GWO Manual Handling. Please note that the onshore version does not include the Sea Survival module, which is part of the offshore training.

Completion of the GWO Basic Safety Training (onshore) is mandatory before working in an onshore wind turbine environment. Each certificate is valid for two years and must be renewed to maintain compliance. This training is essential for anyone seeking to work safely and effectively in the onshore wind sector.

For those looking to shorten the course duration, a GWO Basic Safety Training (offshore) E-learning + Practical is available. In this format, the theoretical part of the training is completed online, while the practical exercises are carried out at one of our training facilities. This flexible approach helps participants save time without compromising the quality of their hands-on safety training.
