Our OPITO CA-EBS (5902) course is designed for personnel who are issued with a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) while traveling to work by helicopter and may be required to use a CA-EBS in the event of an emergency. This training ensures that participants gain the essential knowledge and understanding of the specific hazards and properties of a CA-EBS, as well as the correct emergency response actions to take should deployment become necessary. The course is conducted entirely on dry land in a classroom setting and does not involve any pool exercises.
The CA-EBS Training ID is OPITO accredited and has no expiry date. However, it is the responsibility of the learner’s employing company to determine the validity and revalidation requirements of this certificate. It is recommended to revalidate the training with the appropriate OPITO Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) with CA-EBS certificate upon expiry of the current BOSIET or FOET certificate, ensuring that knowledge and skills remain up to date. Participants are required to bring a valid ID such as a passport or driver’s license, a valid (tropical) HUET, BOSIET, FOET, or NOGEPA 0.5a/b certificate, and a Personal Safety Logbook if available.
