The NOGEPA 2.3A Coxswain Man Overboard Boat course is designed for individuals appointed as crewmembers of a Man Overboard Boat (MOB) on offshore installations. As part of the Man Overboard Emergency Response Team, participants are trained to rescue persons from the water in the vicinity of offshore platforms. Man overboard situations can arise from incidents such as a person falling into the water, helicopter emergency landings, or during transfers from installations. The MOB team may also be called upon by the Dutch Coast Guard to assist in search and rescue operations.
Our training combines theoretical knowledge and practical exercises to ensure participants are fully prepared to determine the state of readiness and launch the MOB. The course covers essential skills such as boarding and handling MOB boats used on offshore installations, as well as performing rescue operations efficiently and safely. This training is essential for anyone responsible for emergency response at sea and is structured to meet the requirements of offshore safety standards.
Participants are required to bring a valid government-issued photographic identification, an extra set of dry clothes, a personal safety logbook, and a valid offshore medical certificate. For those needing to renew their certification, the refresher course Nogepa 2,3B Coxswain MOB is available. Please ensure all prerequisites are met before attending the course.
