Our GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (offshore) is specifically designed for professionals in the wind industry who need to renew their safety certifications. This course reinforces the essential skills and knowledge gained during the initial training, ensuring that participants remain competent and confident in maintaining a safe working environment offshore. Through a balanced combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises, the refresher focuses on up-to-date safety practices and emergency response procedures relevant to the wind sector.
This GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (offshore) training includes First Aid Refresher, Working at Heights Refresher, Manual Handling Refresher, Fire Awareness Refresher, and Sea Survival Refresher. The training places strong emphasis on hazard identification, the correct use of personal protective equipment, and the latest evacuation and rescue techniques. By completing this refresher, personnel demonstrate their continued commitment to safety for themselves and their colleagues while working in challenging offshore conditions.
The course is intended for those who have already completed the initial GWO Basic Safety Training and require recertification to continue working in the wind energy sector. For those seeking a more comprehensive approach, we also offer the GWO Basic Safety Training, which covers all modules in detail. Upon successful completion of the refresher, participants receive updated certification, allowing them to maintain compliance with industry standards and continue their work safely offshore.
A blended version of the training is available, where part of the course can be completed online and the remaining modules are conducted through practical sessions.
GWO does not offer any dispensation. Participants must hold a valid certificate to be eligible for refresher courses. If the certificate has expired, refresher training is not allowed, and the participant will be required to complete GWO Basic Safety Training again to regain certification.
