Our GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) course is designed for professionals working in the wind industry or related sectors who may be required to perform or support advanced rescue operations in wind turbine environments. This comprehensive training is structured into two distinct modules, each covering different rescue elements of a WTG rescue with both theoretical instruction followed by practical rescue exercises and techniques. The course is ideal for personnel selected by their employer to lead or participate in advanced rescue operations, where specialized training can significantly mitigate identified risks.
To enroll in the GWO Advanced Rescue Training, participants must hold valid certificates in GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling, and GWO First Aid. Alternatively, a valid GWO Basic Safety Training certificate is accepted. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive two certificates, one for each module. The group module certificates are valid for two years. To renew expiring modules, participants can take the GWO Advanced Rescue Training Refresher course. There is a 60-day window before certificate expiration during which the refresher can be completed without altering the original expiry date. If the certificate expires, the full course must be retaken.
Our training covers all essential aspects of advanced rescue in wind turbine environments, ensuring participants are fully prepared to respond to emergencies and carry out rescues safely and efficiently.
