Our NOGEPA 2.6A Basic Member Fire-Fighting course is designed for individuals assigned to participate as members of a fire-fighting and rescue team on offshore mining installations. This comprehensive training focuses on both the theoretical background and practical skills needed to respond effectively to fire and emergency situations in offshore environments.
During this intensive four-day program, participants will gain hands-on experience in responding to alarms, understanding fire-fighting principles and procedures, and operating essential breathing and fire-fighting equipment. The course emphasizes teamwork and communication, ensuring that each delegate is well-prepared to act as part of a coordinated emergency response team.
Upon successful completion, delegates receive a certificate that is valid for two years. All participants are required to bring a valid offshore medical certificate with ERT to the training center. This ensures that everyone is fit for the physically demanding nature of the course and ready to engage in realistic fire and rescue scenarios.
