The NOGEPA 2.8A Leader Fire-Fighting course is designed for individuals who are appointed to lead fire-fighting or rescue crews on offshore mining installations. This intensive two-day training focuses on preparing participants to effectively plan and respond to emergencies, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets in challenging offshore environments. The course emphasizes leadership skills, strategic planning, and hands-on experience in managing fire and rescue operations.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a NOGEPA 2.8A Leader Fire-Fighting certificate, which remains valid for two years. To enroll, candidates must present a valid government-issued photographic identification, a current offshore medical certificate, and proof of a valid NOGEPA 2.6A or 2.6B certification with at least one year of experience as a member of a fire-fighting and rescue team. These prerequisites ensure that all attendees have the necessary background and health clearance to participate in the demanding training scenarios.
Our training combines theoretical instruction with practical exercises, allowing participants to develop the essential skills required to lead emergency response teams confidently and efficiently in the offshore sector.
