The target group for the Service Lift User Module training is personnel working on WTGs within the wind industry where the use of lifts is required for transportation of personnel and equipment inside the WTG.
Upon completion of the GWO Service Lift User Module and the Complementary service lift practical evacuation training, participants will be aware of the risks and hazards encountered in the use of lifts within the wind industry. Furthermore, they will be able to control and mitigate those risks and hazards. Participants will also be equipped with the ability to take responsibility and appropriately respond in the event of a hazardous situation that requires evacuation from the service lift and to increase their safety through proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment and procedures.
This training consists of only the first GWO Service Lift User module and the Complementary Service Lift Evacuation training. It does not include certification for the modules of the Service lift inspection and maintenance nor the Service lift installation, inspection and repair module.
The FMTC Rennes training center has two different cable guided and one ladder guided service lift model on the training center, with this we cover approximately 90% of the lifts you may find in the onshore wind industry.
Participants should bring:
– Valid ID/proof of identity
– Comfortable, durable clothing suitable for physical tasks (e.g., long sleeves and trousers)
– All necessary PPE will be provided during the course
