The GWO Crane and Hoist Basic User (CHBU) training is designed for personnel working in the wind industry who perform basic lifting operations using fixed cranes and hoists onshore and offshore. Prerequisites

A valid government-issued photographic identification
Personal Safety Logbook, if available
A valid WINDA ID. If you do not yet have a WINDA ID, one must be created prior to the training
Participants must be physically capable of taking part in practical training activities, including manual handling exercises related to lifting operations
Prior to the start of the course, participants will be required to sign a medical declaration on site

The GWO Crane and Hoist Basic User (CHBU) course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely perform basic lifting operations in the wind industry. The training covers lifting safety, risk assessment, lifting accessories, communication methods, pre-use inspections, and practical crane and hoist operations.

This training is intended for technicians and personnel working with lifting equipment during service and maintenance activities onshore and offshore. The course focuses on safe working practices in accordance with manufacturer documentation, company procedures, and relevant legislation.
