Every 2 years, this GWO First Aid refresher training needs to be completed. There is no E-learning part of this course. This refresher course is already without theory and just practical exercises at the training center.

What is GWO?
GWO stands for ‘Global Wind Organisation’. It is a non-profit organisation and has provided the Basic Safety Training standards for the wind industry since 2012.
What does the GWO First Aid Refresher E-learning course consist of?
Throughout this course, the delegate will be taught about the dangers of working in a windturbine and what this means for the safety and potential injury of someone working in this environment. Furthermore they will learn how to recognise wounds and diseases and how they can be treated and how to provide First Aid in life-threatening situations. The GWO First Aid Refresher E-learning Course is also part of the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher e-learning.
How is the GWO First Aid Refresher E-learning course taught?
The GWO First Aid Refresher E-learning course only consists of a practical part. During the practical part exercises are done at our training facility.
What does WINDA stand for?
WINDA is the name of the Global Wind Industry Training Records Database. It maintains data on the certification status of GWO Certified Training Providers as well as the status of delegates that have attended courses. The delegate is required to create an account for WINDA, as a sticker and registration are added in WINDA upon successful completion of a course.
Click here to create an account in WINDA. Upon successful registration, the user receives a WINDA ID. The WINDA ID is required for us to add the GWO Course to the account of a delegate, including the Basic Training Course.
The employer also has the option of creating an account, allowing them to verify the training status of their (potential) employees.

Do I need a physical examination for this course?
GWO courses do not require an examination.
How do I book a physical examination?
When a physical examination is required, this can be noted on the same booking form. If the course has already been booked, you can send an e-mail or call us to let us know.
When do I receive access to the e-learning?
The GWO First Aid Refresher E-learning course does not have an e-learning part. The refresher course is already without theory. You just have to do the practical exercises at the training center.
How many days do I have to come to the training facilities for practical assignments?
The practical exercises will be done at the training center in just 1,5 hour!
