Our OPITO T-BOSIET (5501) + CA-EBS (5902) training is designed to provide essential safety and emergency response knowledge for personnel who are new or returning to work in the offshore oil and gas industry, specifically in tropical environments. This course introduces participants to the unique safety challenges and operational regimes found on offshore installations, ensuring that every learner is equipped with the practical skills and understanding needed for safe helicopter travel to and from offshore sites.
The T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) module covers the initial safety induction and emergency response training required by the industry. Throughout the training, participants will learn to identify offshore-specific hazards, understand key safety regulations, and apply basic safety management concepts. Practical exercises are a core part of the course, including simulated helicopter emergencies, sea survival, first aid, firefighting, and self-rescue techniques in challenging conditions such as low visibility and smoke-filled environments.
Upon successful completion, learners receive a certificate that is valid for four years. If a participant’s previous certificate is due to expire within three months of the course enrolment date, the new certificate’s expiry date will align with the existing certificate unless otherwise specified by the Duty Holder, Asset Owner, or Operator. This ensures compliance with industry requirements and keeps personnel fully certified for offshore assignments. No additional prerequisites or medical requirements are specified beyond those outlined in the course details.
