The OPITO HERTM (7041) course, also known as Helideck Emergency Response Team Member Training, is designed specifically for offshore personnel who will be assigned to the role of Helideck Emergency Response Team Member. This training provides participants with the essential knowledge, understanding, and practical skills required to effectively respond to a range of helideck emergencies, including both firefighting and non-firefighting scenarios. Our training takes place at our Amsterdam Schiphol location, where we have a full-scale replica of an offshore helideck. This ensures that all exercises are as realistic as possible while maintaining a safe training environment.
The main objective of the OPITO HERTM (7041) course is to ensure delegates fully understand their responsibilities and are able to work efficiently as part of the emergency response team during helideck and helicopter emergencies. Participants will practice communication, coordination, and hands-on emergency response, preparing them for real-life situations they may encounter offshore. To enroll in this course, delegates must hold a valid OPITO HOIT certificate. For those who do not yet have this certification, it is possible to combine the OPITO HOIT and OPITO HERTM courses.
Upon successful completion, delegates will be equipped with the skills needed to perform as a Helideck Emergency Response Team Member, meeting industry standards for offshore safety and emergency preparedness.
