GWO Fire Awareness Refresher (E-learning + Practical)

Our GWO Fire Awareness Refresher (E-learning + Practical) course is designed for professionals working in the wind industry who need to renew their fire safety certification every two years, as required by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO). This blended learning format allows delegates to complete the theoretical component online at their own pace, followed by a concise practical session at the training center that takes just 1.5 hours instead of half a day. The course ensures that participants remain up to date with the latest fire safety procedures and best practices for working in wind turbines, contributing to a safer work environment.

Upon registration, delegates receive immediate access to the e-learning platform, where the theoretical part of the training can be completed in approximately two hours. The practical session must be scheduled within four weeks of completing the e-learning, and access to the online material is provided up to four weeks before the chosen practical day. On arrival at the training center, participants must pass an assessment to demonstrate their understanding of the theory before proceeding with the practical exercises. Successful completion of both components results in the same certificate as the GWO Fire Awareness Refresher without e-learning.

This course covers essential topics such as recognizing fire hazards, understanding the development of fires in wind turbines, and responding effectively in emergency situations. It is suitable for anyone working in the wind industry who needs to maintain their GWO certification.
