OPITO E-BOSIET with EBS (5703) – Digital Delivery

OPITO stands for Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation. BOSIET stands for Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training. BOSIET is the standard basic training for the offshore oil and gas industry all over the globe. E-BOSIET is a digital delivery BOSIET, an online version of the BOSIET training.

The training consists of a multitude of modules, including helicopter safety, sea survival and First Aid.

The course is delivered in two parts:

• Online learning (theory): Upon registering, you will receive access to the e-learning modules. These modules cover the theoretical elements of the course and typically take around eight hours to complete. You must complete all online modules before attending the practical session.

• Practical training and assessment: Once you have successfully completed the online theory, you will attend one day of practical training and assessment at an OPITO-approved training centre. This includes emergency response exercises such as helicopter evacuation, sea survival, firefighting, and first aid. The practical day must be booked and attended within three months of completing the online learning.

Upon passing both components, you will receive an OPITO-approved certificate valid for four years.

OPITO E-BOSIET will allow the delegate to understand the dangers and risks in the offshore oil and gas industry and how to act accordingly in emergency situations. The delegate will also learn how to save themselves, provide First Aid and fight fires.

At succesful completion of the course, the delegate receives an offshore safety training OPITO E-BOSIET (5703) certificate and Escape Shute for the Norwegian Sector (OLF).

The certificate is valid for 4 years. After that, the OPITO FOET course must be taken (a 1-day refresher course), so the delegate stays sharp and is made aware of new developments.

You will have to take the OPITO E-BOSIET course again or you can choose for the three-day BOSIET course.

Yes, in order to work offshore, OPITO BOSIET or NOGEPA 0.5 basic Offshore Safety are the minimum.

After successfully completing the course, the participant will be awarded the following certificate(s): OPITO E-BOSIET with EBS.
