GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) incl. Bolt Tightening

This GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) course is for those who have no previous experience of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical or working with energy powered bolt tightening. It is also applicable for those who may have some technical knowledge, but not of their application to wind turbines. This 4 module course will provide you with a comprehensive overview, and the necessary training to perform basic hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, and bolt tightening tasks required in wind turbine operations, as well as an awareness of the associated hazards and required safety measures.

• Validation:There is no specified validity period.
• Requirements:No prerequisites but some practical mechanical or electrical maintenance background is useful. Medically fit and capable of fully participating. Should have or create a personal delegate profile in WINDA and provide own WINDA ID prior to completing the BTT training. Should be able to read and write documentation, instructions, and it is an advantage to be able to read, speak and write English.

The Basic Technical Training modules are targeted at those who have little or no previous experience of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical systems, or working with energy powered bolt tightening. This course may also be used to up skill for those who have some knowledge, but not of its application in wind turbines. It is relevant for those working both on and offshore in wind energy operations and as a basis for further training.

On completion of the GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT), you will gain an awareness of the hazards encountered when working on hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and bolt tightening systems, and how to control and mitigate these hazards, preparing you for working in both on and offshore in wind power operations
