The OPITO T-BOSIET (5501) course covers a wide range of topics, including the identification of generic offshore hazards, understanding key safety regulations, and learning the principles of safety management on offshore installations. Participants will gain hands-on experience in using safety equipment, responding to helicopter emergencies, and practicing escape techniques in realistic scenarios. The course also includes training in sea survival, first aid, firefighting, and self-rescue techniques, ensuring that learners are fully prepared to respond to emergencies in a tropical offshore environment.
Upon successful completion, participants receive an OPITO-approved certificate that is valid for four years. Please note that if the expiry date on a previous certificate falls within three months prior to the course enrolment date, the new certificate will align with the expiry date of the existing certificate unless otherwise specified by the Duty Holder, Asset Owner, or Operator.
