Our OPITO E-BOSIET (Digital Delivery) with CA-EBS (5752) is a comprehensive safety training program designed for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry. This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills in offshore safety, emergency response, and helicopter travel safety, with a focus on the use of the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS). The digital delivery format allows delegates to complete the theoretical component online at their own pace, offering maximum flexibility and convenience. The practical session is completed in just one day at our training center, significantly reducing time away from home and minimizing extra accommodation costs.
The OPITO E-BOSIET (Digital Delivery) with CA-EBS certificate is recognized worldwide across the offshore oil and gas sector. The training covers all mandatory safety and emergency procedures required for offshore work, including helicopter safety and underwater escape, sea survival, first aid, firefighting, and self-rescue. Delegates benefit from smaller group practical sessions, ensuring personalized instruction and a focused learning environment. The certificate is valid for four years, after which refresher training is required through the OPITO FOET CA-EBS (5850) course.
Our training is suitable for anyone preparing to work offshore and needing to meet industry safety requirements. All theoretical modules are completed online, allowing delegates to choose when and where to study. OPITO stands for Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation. BOSIET stands for Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training. BOSIET is the standard basic training for the offshore oil and gas industry all over the globe. E-BOSIET is a digital delivery BOSIET, an online version of the BOSIET training.
The training consists of a multitude of modules, including helicopter safety, sea survival and First Aid.
Upon registering for the course, you will be able to study the material online. Once you have completed the e-learning, you can be assessed at the training centre. Upon passing, you can participate in the practical exercises.
OPITO E-BOSIET will allow the delegate to understand the dangers and risks in the offshore oil and gas industry and how to act accordingly in emergency situations. The delegate will also learn how to save themselves, provide First Aid and fight fires.
The certificate is only valid for 4 years. After that, the OPITO FOET course must be taken (a 1-day refresher course), so the delegate stays sharp and is made aware of new developments.
You will have to take the OPITO E-BOSIET course again.
Or you can choose for the three-day BOSIET course.
Yes. In order to work offshore, OPITO BOSIET or NOGEPA 0.5 basic Offshore Safety are the minimum.
The online training can be taken at a time of your choosing. The practical training starts at 7:30 (AM).
Lunch is provided by FMTC. Tea and coffee are also available.
All our courses are taught in English.
If you have a Personal Safety Logbook and/or Seaman book, you must bring them in order to have them updated. The required safety materials are provided for by the FMTC.

We advise you to book your flight 2 hours after the end of the course, at a minimum.
OPITO courses do not require an examination.
When a physical examination is required, this can be noted on the same booking form. If the course has already been booked, you can send an e-mail or call us to let us know.
After the booking, you will receive a confirmation. In the meantime, a request will be sent to the doctor. The doctor will plan the physical examination. On the following work day at the latest, you will receive the confirmation of your appointment with date, time and location.
When a hotel is required, this can be indicated on the same booking form. If the course has already been booked, you can send an e-mail or call us to let us know.
Yes, depending on the training location, additional certificates may be included. When completing the course in the Netherlands or France, participants also receive certification in Escape Chute & Norwegian Suit. For courses held in the USA, an additional Swing Rope/Personnel Transfer certificate is issued.
After successfully completing OPITO E-BOSIET (Digital Delivery) with CA-EBS (5752), the participant will be awarded the following certificate(s): OPITO E-BOSIET with CA-EBS.
