We offer the OPITO Basic H2S (9014) course for personnel who may be exposed to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in their work environment, such as oil and gas platforms, pipeline operations, and confined spaces. This OPITO-approved training is essential for anyone working in areas where H2S could be present, ensuring participants are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize hazards and respond effectively to H2S incidents.
The course consists of both theoretical and practical components. Participants will learn to identify the characteristics of H2S, understand the associated risks, and practice emergency response procedures. The training focuses on increasing awareness of H2S dangers, proper use of safety equipment, and effective actions during gas releases or alarms. Upon successful completion, participants receive an OPITO H2S certificate, which remains valid for two years.
Our OPITO H2S accreditation is assigned at our Ras Tanura location, but we can also deliver the training at other locations or on-site as needed. The main goal of the course is to enhance safety for anyone working in environments where H2S may be present by raising awareness, building knowledge, and practicing emergency situations.
