Our NOGEPA 2.3B Coxswain Man Overboard Boat course is designed as a refresher for those who have previously completed the 2.3A Coxswain Man Overboard Boat training. This course is essential for coxswains who need to renew their certification every two years to maintain their skills and knowledge in handling man overboard boats (MOB-boats) and executing rescue operations. The training focuses on both theoretical and practical aspects, ensuring participants are fully prepared to determine the state of readiness, launch, and operate Fast Rescue Crafts (FRCs) used by mining companies, as well as perform effective rescue operations.
During this refresher, participants will revisit key procedures such as launching the MOB-boat, taking on board a man overboard, and managing the boat in various rescue scenarios. The course emphasizes hands-on exercises to reinforce good seamanship, navigation, and the use of onboard equipment. It is tailored for those who require up-to-date skills to command rescue operations and ensure safety in offshore environments. Please note that this course is intended for delegates who have already completed the initial training and need to refresh their certification after two years.
