This training is for personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields and will have duties in a wind turbine environment and need to refresh their GWO Basic Safety Training modules.
Through the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher – Scenario Based Training Onshore, FMTC can have personnel working in the wind industry refresh their Basic Safety Training modules in a scenario format instead of regular training. During the various scenarios, all learning objectives of the GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore modules will be covered.
Through this, participants will review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training, implemented in several scenarios
Valid Basic Safety Training (refresher) moduls certificates
Twice a year, participants will visit the FMTC Zeebrugge training centre to participate in a scenario training day. During each scenario day, various elements from multiple BST modules are refreshed.The scenario days focus on the application of practical skills and abilities. To prepare the participants for the scenario, a toolbox is performed through which the instructor verifies the knowledge level of participants and explains the use of the training equipment.
Due to the nature of the scenario training, planning becomes easier as instead of losing employees for a week of intensive refresher training, they need to visit the training centre only once every 6 months. Additionally, it is more effective to participate in frequent training to maintain the right level of knowledge, skills and abilities. The scenario training provides us with this opportunity.
After 24 months and upon succesful completion of the four scenario days, four of the five BST certificates will be renewed.
