Our GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore (E-learning + Practical) is designed for professionals working in the wind industry who want to gain essential safety knowledge and practical skills for onshore wind turbine environments. This blended course, accredited by the Global Wind Organisation, introduces participants to the risks and hazards specific to onshore wind turbines and prepares them to respond effectively in emergency situations. The training combines the flexibility of online learning with hands-on practical exercises, ensuring comprehensive preparation for real-life scenarios.
The online component of the GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore covers four key modules: GWO Working at Height E-learning, GWO First Aid E-learning, GWO Manual handling E-learning, and GWO Fire Awareness E-learning. Unlike the offshore GWO Basic Safety Training, this course is tailored exclusively to onshore wind environments and does not include Sea Survival. By completing the theoretical modules online at your own pace, you save 1.5 days at the training center and can schedule your practical day directly through our website.
After registration, immediate access to the e-learning platform is provided, allowing participants to complete the 11-hour theoretical portion at their convenience. The practical day must be attended within four weeks of finishing the e-learning. Upon successful completion of both the online and practical components, participants receive the same GWO Basic Safety Training Onshore certificate as the traditional classroom course. Please note that a theoretical assessment must be passed before participating in the practical session. If additional instruction is needed, extra lessons can be arranged, though not always on the same day.
