The aim of the T-HUET or Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape Training program is to prepare delegates that intend to travel to and from offshore oil and gas installations and vessels by helicopter in a tropical environment by providing specific training in pre-flight and in-flight requirements and to equip delegates with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills required in the event of a helicopter emergency – with specific focus on escaping from a helicopter following ditching and sea survival techniques.

During the theory part of the T-HUET OPITO Training (Tropical HUET) you will be informed about the safety aspects on board a helicopter, as well as the possible dangers and emergencies, which can occur during transport by helicopter.

Following you will practice the T-HUET OPITO Training(Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) in the training pool of FMTC by using the helicopter underwater training simulator. These skills are needed if you often travel via helicopter.

After successfully completing this course you will receive the OPITO T-HUET certification.

Course Content of the OPITO T-HUET

Delegates working in the oil and gas industries that often have to travel to offshore installations learn this during their T-HUET course:

• Helicopter Safety and Escape
• Sea Survival  training (Including Lifeboat)

If you want to combine the T-HUET training with a CA-EBS (in-water) course, we also offer the OPITO T-HUET with CA-EBS. In this training, you will learn to work with compressed air emergency breathing systems.
