Our FMTC Preparation for OIM-CE course is specifically designed to support candidates who are ready to undertake the OPITO OIM-CE assessment. This preparation is ideal for personnel who have been selected by their employer to be formally assessed in the role of Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), Deputy OIM, or Emergency Deputy OIM during emergency situations. The course is conducted at our dedicated Emergency Control Centre (ECC) facilities in FMTC Dordrecht, the Netherlands, providing participants with a realistic training environment.
Attending the FMTC Preparation for OIM-CE allows candidates to become familiar with the types of emergency scenarios, simulator models, and the specific layout and facilities of the Emergency Control Centre. This ensures that participants are fully prepared and comfortable with the assessment process, helping the OIM-CE assessment to proceed smoothly. While many delegates may already have substantial operational experience, we strongly recommend attending this preparation course immediately before the formal assessment to maximize readiness.
There are no direct entry requirements for the FMTC Preparation for OIM-CE. However, to qualify for the OPITO OIM-CE assessment itself, candidates must provide a formal declaration and supporting evidence from their employer confirming that they have achieved the required performance criteria, particularly in maintaining a state of readiness in the workplace. There is no official medical entry requirement for the preparation course, but all participants must be capable of fully engaging in potentially demanding and stressful activities and are required to sign a Medical Declaration form.
