COURSE CONTENT

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of UAV drone design, function, and basic operational principles
  • Effectively operate a drone flight time simulator showcasing the ability to handle various flying scenarios and settings
  • Execute basic operational manoeuvres of UAV drones in diverse environments and conditions
  • Understand the concepts of FPV (First-Person View) drones and controllers including different types and frequency uses for effective operation
  • Identify and explain the functions of various ground control units, antennas, and radio modules utilised in drone operations
  • Train and demonstrate practical skills through flight simulations including setting up ground control units and understanding radio horizons
  • Assemble and independently set up a ground control unit demonstrating proficiency in calibration and alignment
  • Plan and execute a flight route independently targeting defined landmarks while demonstrating knowledge of topography
  • Identify and explain the technical components of FPV drones including various battery types and their implications for flight
  • Successfully navigate through designated obstacles during simulated flights demonstrating control and precision
  • Conduct post-flight administration tasks ensuring proper maintenance and documentation of equipment for continued operational effectiveness
  • Demonstrate overall competency in drone operations through a written exam and practical flight test, validating knowledge, skills, and preparedness for real-world applications
