STCW Training in Marine Hygiene – Health Protection and Accident prevention

Any sailor holding a CFBS expiring and whose EFA 1 training has been completed and certified beforehand and requires revalidation.
- Justify the follow-up of the initial training E.M. 1.
- Have a seaman's number.
- Having a valid medical examination certificate (less than 1 year) certified by a seafarers' doctor will be required before starting training.
Our STCW Medical Training Level 1 (R.EM1) Refresher course is designed for seafarers and professional yachtsmen who are required to maintain valid STCW-approved certification in accordance with the Manila Amendments 2010. This refresher training ensures that participants review and update their essential medical knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to remain fully operational and compliant with international maritime standards.
Throughout the course, participants will revisit key first aid procedures and the initial actions required in medical emergencies at sea. The training also covers participation in level 1 telemedical consultations with the CCMM of Toulouse, ensuring that trainees are prepared to provide effective medical assistance and coordinate with shore-based medical professionals when necessary. In addition, the course addresses the application of hygiene and prevention measures on board, supporting a safer and healthier working environment for all crew members.
Upon successful completion of the STCW Medical Training Level 1 (R.EM1) Refresher, trainees will be able to deliver first aid, perform essential life-saving actions, and contribute to telemedical consultations at sea. This course is essential for those who need to renew their STCW medical certification and continue to meet the operational requirements for maritime professionals.
