Fire Safety (Incipient Fire) E-learning

In this online Fire Safety course, learners will be provided with the necessary information to safely perform incipient firefighting duties as they gain understanding of the classes of fire, the methods of extinguishment, as well as the different types of fire extinguishers. Learners will not only be trained in incipient firefighting methods, however. Upon completion of the training, learners will also be able to identify best practices for fire prevention, such as general housekeeping, proper chemical storage, safe cylinder transport, and effective hot work and fire watch performance. Upon completion of the training modules, learners will complete a knowledge assessment. Those who complete this training may also be required to be evaluated by their employer to ensure understanding of the information provided.

This Fire Safety (Incipient Fire) course is designed for anyone on or off the job with the responsibility of fire safety, including entry-level and experienced employees, supervisors, and managers. This E-Learning Fire Safety training is appropriate for new employees who require initial training or for those who are experienced and require annual refresher Fire training, as required by OSHA’s general industry standards for fire safety. Employers can include this online training as an additional element in their educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient (early stage) firefighting. This course also features a review of BSEE’s requirements for welding plans, so there is added value for offshore employees.
