Fall Protection User Rescue E-learning

The Fall Protection User Rescue course is for anyone in need of fall protection training, including all employees who conduct work on elevated surfaces or who are exposed to fall hazards, or their supervisors.

 In this online course, learners will gain an understanding of the hazards of falling, the control methods available to protect workers, and the roles and responsibilities of employees when implementing fall protection plans, such as conducting fall protection hazard assessments and planning for rescue operations.  

The Fall Protection User Rescue course also provides training on the inspection, use, and maintenance of fall protection equipment, with an emphasis on the components of a personal fall arrest system (PFAS), including anchorage points, body harnesses, lanyards, decelerating devices, and appropriate connectors and accessories. This E-Learning course also reviews the dangers of falling while wearing personal fall arrest equipment, including the risk of suspension trauma, and provides an overview of post-fall procedures. Finally, this training will provide workers with information necessary to plan for a safe and efficient rescue, including a review of rescue requirements as defined by OSHA in 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M, as well as the types of rescue methods and rescue equipment available. Upon completion of the training modules, learners will complete a knowledge assessment. Those who complete this training must also be evaluated by their employer to ensure understanding of the information provided.
